Samia Mohamed- Pre Licensed LPCC

I specialize in working with adolescence through adults and families who are dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, chronic day to day stress, and self-sabotage. I utilize different therapeutic approaches when working with clients, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and a person-centered approach and different mindfulness techniques. I believe the client is the expert of their lives and as a therapist Iā€™m here to validate them as they continue to process their mental health concerns.

I offer solutions-focused, real-life cognitive-behavioral therapy that empower you to build on your personal strengths/capabilities. I believe the power of change and improve yourself exists within everybody. It's my job as your therapist to help you learn how you can create the change and make improvements based on your goals and what you are wanting to achieve for yourself.

I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, reading a good book, exploring my surroundings and traveling the world whenever I can. I love meeting new people and having the opportunity to learn about other cultures. Also, I enjoy shopping and finding great deals.

I have experience working with different mental health diagnoses, but I am particularly interested in major depressive disorder (MDD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and some who have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I am also interested in those who are challenged with eating disorders and self-esteem concerns. I work with individuals of all backgrounds (i.e., race, religion, sexual identity, etc.).

I am passionate about helping my clients develop healthy ways of coping with stress, as well as make lifestyle changes to promote emotional and physical well-being. I am currently offering telehealth therapy for clients located anywhere in Minnesota.
